Smiles are ugly things Filling the eyes with condescending mirth Twisting the mouth into the position of torture They adorn the faces of those who look down on us Laughing and living their petty lives Normal
But when one of us smiles Everything changes Those people wince and turn away Because they sense something horribly wrong Behind that smile It hurts them to look into the smile of the insane
They take the insane who smiles Lock them up where they won't have to see Pat themselves on the back Convincing themselves that it was for his own good Not willing to admit the real reason For fear of losing their sanity

Thank you, but this isn't meant to be any good. I realized long ago that any form of art that I try inevitably falls short of even the lowest standards.

Well that was pretty darn good so give yourself a cookie I tend to feel the same way about my drawings so I know what you mean. Especially when I compare my stuff to that of my g/f She's good.

*eats cookie*
Don't get me started on my drawings, omg they are so horrible. If a pidgeon crapped on paper, I would be jealous of it's artistic talent.

*Snorts* Seen some of the stuff in modern art galleries? Anyone can do that stuff. Show me a piece of your art! I'm sure it's not as bad as you imagine

And what the heck is wrong with those? They're perfectly good pieces of digital art! Better than the stuff I see in a lot of web comics.

*Pats TrashcanMan's shoulder* They are good, don't be so down on yourself I have days like that about my art too, but I get over it ^_~ After all, if you don't keep trying, you can't get better at it!

Well what you have is good, so as long as your art is just a hobby, then you don't need to worry about dedicating time to get better *hugs*

You know, I've been staring at that House Gibber banner, and I'm pretty sure that it took more time than you say it did. The Daedric letters must have been difficult.

No they were pretty simple. I have a Daedric font, so I just typed out 'House Gibber' and changed the font to Daedric. Then the red glow took about 30 seconds to put around the edge using Adobe Image Ready.
Steps to make banner: Open Adobe Photoshop Choose banner dimensions Choose red colours then use Render Clouds for the background Jump to Adobe Image Ready Write 'House Gibber', change font to Daedric, click drop shadow and choose the colour. Write House Gibber', change font to Dark Crystal, click drop shadow, alter opacity Save image.
Pretty simple. I could have done it all in Photoshop but I prefer text editing in Image Ready *shrugs*.
